How To Restore iPhone From Backup on iCloud

You can restore data you’ve backed up on iCloud to your new or wiped iPhone by following the steps below.

Step 1: Turn On your iPhone

If it is a new iPhone or an erased one, turn on the iPhone and follow the on-screen instructions.

Step 2: Enter Location, WiFi Network, and Passcode.

On the setup screen, enter all your details when asked, and do well to connect to Wi-Fi.

Step 3: On Apps & Data Screen

Once everything is set up, on the Apps & Data page where you are asked to choose how you want to “Set Up iPhone,” you’ll have three options but have to choose one.

From the three options; “Set Up as a New iPhone,” “Restore from iCloud Backup” or “Restore from iTunes backup.”

Backup date and file size will be available for each time you’ve previously saved your data on iCloud, simply choose the backup you want to start the transfer process.

Patiently wait for the transfer to be completed and then your backup will be restored to the iPhone.

How To Restore iPhone From Backup on Mac and PC

If you are using a Mac or PC to back up your data, it is possible to restore your iPhone backup on the Mac using the Finder or PC using iTunes.

Step 1: Connect iPhone to Mac or PC

Depending on the device you using, connect your iPhone to it and enter your iPhone passcode if prompted to.

Step 2: Select iPhone in Finder or iTunes

Your previous backup will appear and then you have to check for the date and size of the data and choose the backup to restore.

If the backup is protected with a password, you’ll be required to enter the correct password, then click on the blue Restore button and wait for the restore process to finish.

After your device restores backups to your iPhone or iPad, it’ll restart and start downloading your apps.
